Carrie Stamenov was born outside Chicago, Illinois. Began her love of theater at the age of 10 with a local theater troupe playing Baby June in the musical Gypsy. She sang in children's and a cappella choirs growing up but then left music behind to focus on her theater studies in NYC.
Awarded the Great Nisson Scholarship and recieved a degree in Theatre at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Trained in both the Meisner Technique and Stanislavski method. Carrie has also studied in New York privately with Janis Powell and film training with Sally Johnson at the Sally Johnson Studio .
She has appeared in numerous independent films and commercials and staged several readings of full length productions Off-Broadway. After moving to Austria she focused on being a full time mother. She is thrilled to being singing and performing again with her fellow Jewel Tones.
